2) The prefix “RM0” must be added at the beginning of the message content sent to Malaysia. This indicates to end users that they are not charged for receiving the message.
3) All SMS content must include the brand, company name, or a clear identifier of the sender. 4) In response to the growing number of SMS spam and phishing cases affecting both individuals and businesses, the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) has introduced stricter regulations to ensure safer and more secure telecommunications practices across the country. Effective 1st September, 2024, any message containing URL link, personal details, phone numbers and/or others will be filtered.
